While hiking Gaviota Peak I observed a cloud build-up over the front range behind S.B. and coupled with the strong winds wondered what the flying conditions were like on that day. ?

Max flew into Bates on his HG, I presume from SB. Bates was layered, but likely good enough to go to Ventura?
